Elder & Ivy Removal August 2014
We are very grateful to a team from the Friends of Southern Country Park who willingly gave of their time and expertise to assist our very small band of volunteers in the Churchyard on a very hot day in August 2014.
Their invaluable help enabled us to clear a lot of the highly invasive elder and ivy from our large trees. We were especially pleased that they were able to remove the seriously damaging growth from the inside of our 1000 year old yew tree. Without their help the life of this lovely, ancient and iconic tree would have been in jeopardy.
Our Churchyard Team desperately needs more help.
